Logan River walk

In Logan, there is a cement trail that goes down by the Logan River and inter twines with the golf course. It's a great little walk for our family since it is paved. Here are some pics from the last time we went down there a week or so ago.

Dillan

Dillan is such a busy body! She's klopping around in my shoes, she's attempting to take pics on any cell phone she gets a hold of and the latest thing is going out one door, going around the house and coming in another door. Needless to say, we have to have all doors locked all the time. Here's my cute girl and me.

St George

And while Spencer was attending Astro Camp (see post below) I was able to do my yearly girls trip to St George. The weather was touch and go, but we got our tanning in and of course the shopping, so I would deem that successful. This year we were able to attend Tuachan, which is an outdoor theater. We saw CATS!!! I was super excited, considering CATS is one of the longest, most successful broadway musicals, but I was disappointed by the story line. It was a good production, though and we really enjoyed it. This is a pic of Stace, Josi and I at the show.

So funny story about this picture. My uncle, who is a father of 3 boys, no girls, took the picture. He took one and of course we looked at it and Josi says, I look fat, let's take it again. So we changed positions and had him take another picture. We look again and I say, Now I look fat, let's do another one. So we had him take another one. Hopefully someone will think that story is funny, because I'm giggeling as I think about it.

p.s. I'm starting to rethink the bangs. It doesn't even look like me!

SPACE CAMP

At the beginning of June, Spencer went to his first overnighter! (I was worried, I have to admit I was expecting a middle of the night phone call there was a problem or he wanted to come home. But he did fantastic and had a splediferous time!) He went to Astro Camp. They learned all about space and astronauts and did lots of cool things. Here are some pics of his graduation from Cadet Camp.

Can I just say that I LOVE family pics, cause I'm gonna. I LOVE FAMILY PICS!!! We are getting them done this weekend and I am sooo looking forward to them (for reals, peeps, no sarcasm). I love finding cute matching clothes, I love prepping everyone, meaning having Spencer practice his smiles in the mirror the few days before. Can't wait to post pics next week to show you how they turned out!!

MOAB

We decided to take a last minute trip to Moab for Memorial Day. We booked the trip on Tuesday and left Friday morning. Friday morning, Spencer had an appt for Botox injections. Ryan went with him to do that and Dillan and I went to do the grocery shopping. Spencer did fantastic, as always. After that we went and got the tire fixed (I picked up a nail somewhere) then we went to our friends to stay the night. Higbees are always great to let us stay with them. We really appreciate their friendship.

Saturday we got up and headed out and made our way to Price. There we went to the local museum, that has dinosaur tracks, fossils, displays and such. From there we went out to the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur quarry. It's very very small. A few hiking trails surround the quarry, but looking at the dig site and little visitor's center doesn't take long.

We stayed in Wellington for the night, which is about 10 min down the road from Price. There we went to the local 'hot spot,' which is a bar and dance hall. We had the biggest hamburgers ever. I had the bleu cheese, bacon burger. The bleu cheese was the absolute best dressing I have ever had.

Sunday we got up early for the 2 hour drive to Moab. We picked up our jeep at 8:30; 2 door red Rubicon. The rental place was takng a couple people do drive the Hells Revenge trail. So we decided to join them. Holy Cow, that is a big first timer's trail. Ryan drove the whole time and I rode in the back with Dillan. There were times we could only see the sky out of the windshield and times we were staring at the ground. After Hell's Revenge, we went over to a less aggressive trial called Fins & Things. It was still a lot of fun, at one point, I thought we were going to get stuck in some deep sand. I gassed through it and we made it!

Later that afternoon, we drove up to Arches National Park and saw all the gorgeous sites there. Such a beautiful place!

Sunday night we went to Pasta Jay's for dinner. Fantastic food, crappy service. If you have time and no or calm kids, definitey enjoy dinner there on the patio.

Monday we got up and went to Dead Horse Point on our way home. Another gorgeous place.
