Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
Little itty bitty clothes.
Dresses, ribbons & hair to curl,
We're tickled pink,
we're having a girl!

The New Ride

Well, we did it. Something I swear I would never do, we bought a minivan. Yikes! I feel old, and I'm not even 30!!!

Spencer got a new chair a couple months ago and after checking out every SUV on the market, nothing would work. So we looked, talked, looked, talked and looked some more. It was sickening. It wasn't even fun. When we would go and look, the dealers would offer for us to take a test drive and Ryan and I were both like, "Nah." It was unemotional and unexciting. But now that we have it and it has 95% of the extras we wanted, we are quite satisfied. It drives nice, it's comfy and fits our needs. For being forced to drive a van, I couldn't have asked for a better one.

It's a 2008, new. I drove off the lot with 14 miles on the odometer. We've put 250 miles on it just this weekend. We are looking forward to a nice roadtrip with lots of room.

Although certain songs like Enter Sandman, by Metallica are definitly not as fun to listen to, we will enjoy it and face the fact: we are getting older whether we are ready for it or not.

Summer is coming!

Only 2 more weeks of school for Spencer and it will be official summer!! The weather this week has been gorgeous and refreshing, much needed after having such a long winter.

Enlight of the summer bug, I decided to paint my toes. Now, I always have my toes painted, year round. But this time I wanted to try painting a french manicure. I figure it can't be hard, the nail ladies make it look easy. So I bought all the good polishes, base coat and top coats. And gave it a try. I'm pretty proud of the job I did, freehanding it and it being the first time. So yes, I did take a picture.

Hello summer!! Sorry aobut the wonderful flip flop tan lines, we were golfing yesterday.

American Idol - Neil Diamond night!!

Ok, so I have never been an AI fan, but this year for lack of my regular scheduled programs with the writer's strike, I have been watching AI. Wouldn't really consider myself a fan, but it's entertaining. So I don't know if the theme nights are new to AI or if they have done this on previous seasons. But this year, the contestants that have been narrowed down, choose from one particular artist. They have had Dolly Parton night, Mariah Carey, as well as Neil Diamond. I am a HUGE Neil fan. Even seen him in concert with his sparkly shirt and all. So when AI had a Neil night a few weeks ago, I was lovin' it!! After that, I had to pull out the Neil albums. I was missing one, so I went and downloaded all the greatest Neil hits. So for the past couple weeks, I have been jammin' out to Song Sung Blue and Kentucky Woman and all the best. Hats off to you Neil for 5 decades of great hits.

16 Weeks

Well, I am at 16 weeks now and out of the first trimester. I am feeling great, didn't have any morning sickness. The toothpaste and I disagree. I can barely get 20 secs in to brush my teeth before I start dry heaving. My gag reflex is quite sensitive. I wear down easier, but am still playing bball and vball. I have to take snacks for energy to play multiple games. Not showing, just have fat in weird places. I have gone up a couple sizes, but don't need maternity clothes just yet. This is a hard stage for me.

The baby is now between 3-4 inches but still only 3 ozs. Here is a pic of what the baby is supposed to look like.

I scheduled my ultrasound for May 27. Then it's time to start shopping!!!

Favorites Close to Home

I decided to use Jillian's tell all about her local favorite places as a way to share myself.

Favorite Places to:

Grab Lunch: Old Grist Mill. It's easy, quick and close to work.

Go for Date Night: Anywhere away from home and child. (I love my child don't get me wrong, but breaks are nice.)

Pick up Goodies: Grist Mill makes great cookies, but I love a Jamba Juice any day!

Keep kids busy: Spencer is out of the stage of having to be entertained. THANK GOODNESS!

Get Wet: Hyrum Dam, but if we are going for a few days, Yuba Lake.

Buy a treat: I'm a sucker for a pizzookie anyday. Cookie in a mini skillet with icecream and hot fudge on top. 7-11 Slurpees can't be beat on a hot day.

Shop for fun: Hmmm, NOT LOGAN. Probably Gateway, which is about an hour and a half, but the shopping can't be beat.

Get fresh air: Hyrum Dam or Logan Canyon.

Splurge: Probably shoes. I find great deals, but splurge as in don't really need them.

Drive for a weekend away: We don't really do this. Sometimes going for just the weekend is more stressful than anything.

Ok, one topic off my list.
